BURTON BRADSTOCK PARISH COUNCIL

Minutes of the Annual General Meeting of Burton Bradstock Parish Council held on 16^th May 2011 in the Village hall at 7.30pm.

Present: Cllrs: G.Moody, D. Dixon, D.Venn, D.Batten, K.Delves, N Bowles, J.Hill (RFO), DCC Cllr: R.Coatsworth, WDDC Cllr: J Russell, I Wigglesworth (Internal Auditor), and thirty five members of the public.

2. Minutes of the previous Meeting 4^th May 2010.

The minutes of the previous meeting were approved, proposed by Barbara James and seconded by Jim Harding. These were signed as a true record by the Chairman.

3. Chairman’s Report:

The Chairman gave a detailed power point presentation highlighting the Council’s activities during the past year. Details of his report are recorded in the Parish Council’s minute book.

4. Financial Report:

Details of the Council’s Accounts for the year ending 31^st March 2011 were circulated prior to the meeting. The budget for the year 2011/2012 was also circulated.

The RFO went through the accounts and the budget in detail highlighting particular variances.

The accounts were formally approved by the meeting proposed by John Lay-Flurrie, seconded by Gill Redford.

5. The Future of our Library responding to the county’s consultation:

Debbie Ward Director of Adult and Community Services from DCC presented the background to the consultation process on the library and this was followed by a very extensive question and answer session. The Chairman thanked Debbie Ward for attending the meeting and this was endorsed by the parishioners. Details of her report are recorded in the Parish Council’s minute book.

6. The meeting closed at 9.25pm and parishioners were invited for light refreshments.
