BURTON BRADSTOCK PARISH COUNCIL

 

Minutes of the Planning & Development Committee held on Thursday 3rd December 2009 at 7.30pm, in the Reading Room, Burton Bradstock.

 

Present: Cllrs: P.Toms,  P.Middlemast,  D.Batten,  F.Moore (Clerk).

Thanks were recorded to Cllr.Batten for standing in on this meeting.

 

1. Apologies: Cllrs: D.Dixon,  D.Venn,  K. Delves. It was recorded that K.Broad had resigned from the Parish Council.

 

2. Declarations of Interest:  Cllr: Toms declared an interest in Planning Application 1/D/09/001850 – Seasons Watch by the fact of being a close neighbour.

 

3. Minutes of the previous Meeting:

The minutes of the previous meeting, 11th November were approved and signed by the Chairman as a true record.

 

4. Democratic Half Hour: There were no members of the public present.

 

5. Planning:

Approval:

1/D09/001424 – Green Chalet, Hive Beach. Replace windows & doors. Re-cladding of exterior.

1/D/09/000749 – The Othona Community. Replacement wardenÕs dwelling & improvements to car park.

Consultation:

1/D/09/001850 – Seasons Watch. Shipton Lane. There were no objections.

1/D/09/001634 – BB Village Hall. Replace door and window. Adjust ground levels to provide level access into hall. There were no objections.

1/D/09/001804 – Burton End, Coast Road. Demolish building. New replacement chalet with basement accommodation. The site had been visited by Cllrs: Toms and Delves. There were no objections. The Council felt that some signage should be displayed on the B3157 denoting Ôdangerous and concealed entranceÕ. As the application was new build sustainability features should be incorporated.

Consultation - Adjoining Council:

1/D/09/001766 – Land adjacent Bridport Sewage Works. Burton Road. New Bridport supply depot for the repairs and maintenance crews including some storage bays & plant store building, to replace the old depot. There were no objections.

Tree Report:

TP/09/00322 – 13 Norburton. Approved.

CA/09/00377 – Burial Ground, Shipton Lane. To relay Sycamore trees as hedgeline; to remove ivy from 1 Hawthorn; to remove deadwood from 1 Ash; to remove deadwood from 2 Lime trees and tidy; to coppice 2 Willow trees and to remove 1 Plum tree. There were no objections.

CA/09/00385 – Nimrod Darby Lane. To fell 1 Cypress tree. The Clerk to contact the tree officer and ascertain why?
