4. Parish Plan:
Cllr. Dixon stated that the task was to go through each of the allotted sections looking at what has been achieved, and what new issues needed to be addressed. Once all the sections had been completed it was agreed that a presentation would be made in September in the Village Hall so that the public could be consulted, and some priority placed on the issues.
The ÔEnvironmentÕ section had been discussed.
Cllr. Moody updated the section on ÔActivities and opportunities for the communityÕ.
Cllr. Venn updated on the section ÔLocal ProsperityÕ.
Cllr. Delves updated on the section ÔTraffic, Accessibility and TransportÕ.
The final two sections and a general update would take place on Wednesday 14th April at 7.30pm in the Three Horseshoes.
5. Democratic half Hour:
Mr C.Edwards gave a short presentation regarding a proposed Coastwatch scheme to be established at an old site on the Coast Road. Details were circulated for Councillors to read. Some difficulty was being found at securing the old site and a proposal was placed before the Committee to ask if the Parish Council would place a planning application on behalf of the Coast watch (to save funds) for a temporary building on the Burton Cliff Hotel property. It was agreed that Councillors would read the information and send their comments to the Chairman by email.
6. Planning:
Consultation:
1/D/10/000153 – Burton End. Coast Road. Demolish building. New replacement chalet with basement accommodation. It was noted that this application had been lodged before and that the Council had no objections. It was subsequently withdrawn. There were no objections.
1/D/10/000170 – Bridport & West Dorset Golf Club. Green Keepers workshop and facilities. New vehicular and pedestrian access. See attached details.
1/D/10/000211 – Brookfield adjacent Brook Cottage, Annings Lane. Timber Shed & greenhouse. The Council have no objections to the greenhouse and the proposed horticultural activities proposed for the site. The Council strongly objects to the size, design of the proposed timber shed. Why is it incorporating UPVC windows, and concrete roofing tiles etc? The Council is concerned that this has the potential to be used for more than a horticultural ÔtimberÕ shed.
1/D/10/000275 – Freshwater Beach Holiday Park. New leisure building including indoor swimming pool, bowling, cafŽ & associated facilities together with enhanced landscaping.
See attached details.
Applications for Road Closures:
