BURTON BRADSTOCK PARISH COUNCIL

Minutes of the Planning Development Committee held on Thursday 21^st October at 7.30pm, in the Reading Room, Burton Bradstock.

Present: Cllrs: P.Toms, D.Batten, K.Delves, F.Moore (Clerk).

1. Apologies: Cllrs: G.Moody, D.Venn, D.Dixon, N.Bowles, S.Churchill.

2. Declarations of Interest: There were no Declarations of Interest.

3. Minutes of the Previous Meeting 20^th September & Matters Arising.

The minutes of the meeting held on 20^th September 2010 were approved and signed as a true record by the Chairman.

4. Planning:

Approval:

1/D/10/001327 – 20 Bindbarrow. Demolish sunroom & erect extension.

1/D/10/001488 – The Blackthorns. Shadrach. Addition of solar panels to roof of dwelling under construction.

Consultation:

1/D/10/001528 – 73 High Street. Replace 3 windows in front elevation. There were no objections.

1/D/10/001515 – 79 & 80 Mill Street. Replace windows to the rear. There were no objections.

1/D/10/001543 – Former Scouts Hall. Shipton Lane. Demolish former Scout Hall building & erect detached dwelling. The Council has no objection to the proposed dwelling, but objects to the removal of the long established bank and its proposed reinstatement two metres further back, it is totally unnecessary. During construction at the site the entrance to Norburton Hall should be kept clear at all times and any work done for utilities properly reinstated.

Development Control Committee, Approval and Amendment:

1/D/10/001179 – Chiltern. Shipton Lane. Demolish garage. New single storey side & rear extensions.

Tree Reports:

Approval:

CA/10/00294 – Little Orchard, Annings Lane. To reduce 1 Flowering Cherry by 1 metre all round.

Consultation:

CA/10/00294 – Little Orchard, Annings Lane. To fell the outside stems of 1 Sycamore. There were no objections.

The Clerk reported that he had been informed that in future we would receive tree reports by email.

5. A.O.B.

• K.Delves: After discussion on Gipsy & Travellers sites it was agreed to leave this item in abeyance. It was also agreed that the gate into the playing field needed to be better secured. The Clerk to pursue.
• Car Parking at Old Smithy: Parking on the pavement and on the site was again causing problems. Clerk to pursue with the Planning Enforcement Officer.
• P.Toms: The whole area from the Bus Shelter to the telephone box in the High Street needs to be cut back. Clerk to contact our grass cutters on this point.

The site for the re-positioning of the waste bin has been agreed. Clerk to pursue.

• Cliff Road: The Clerk to contact Highways to clear both sides of the road back behind the yellow lines.
