BURTON BRADSTOCK PARISH COUNCIL

Minutes of the Planning & Development Committee held on Thursday 2^nd December 2010 at 7.30pm, in the Reading Room, Burton Bradstock.

Present: Cllrs. P.Toms, D.Dixon, D.Venn, K.Delves.

1. Apologies: F.Moore (Clerk).

2. Declarations of Interest: Cllr.Toms declared an interest in Planning Application 1/D/10/001729 – Chiltern, Shipton Lane.

3. Minutes of the Previous Meeting 21^st October & Matters Arising.

The minutes were approved and signed as a true record by the Chairman.

The Chairman reported that a Planning Enforcement Notice has been issued for a breach of planning control at the Old Smithy, Cliff Road, Burton Bradstock, and that this would be monitored by WDDC Planning Enforcement Officers.

5. Planning:

Approval:

1/D/10/001528 – 73 High Street. Replace 3 windows in front elevation.

Consultation:

1/D/10/001729 – Chiltern, Shipton Lane. Extensions & Alterations. Demolish garage. Cllr. Toms declared an interest in this application and withdrew from the discussion on this item. Cllr.Dixon took the role of Chairman.

The Parish Council considered that the revised application had largely addressed its previous concerns regarding scale, overdevelopment of the site and privacy issues, and therefore had no objection to the application.

Cllr.Toms took over as Chairman.

1/D/10/001841 – 20 Bindbarrow. Removal of condition 4 of P.P. 1/D/10/001327 – the side facing dining room window as shown in the west elevation on drawing no 751/03 received 9^th August 2010 shall be glazed and maintained thereafter with obscure glass. The Parish Council had no comments.

1/D/10/001916 – 20 Bindbarrow. Single storey extension. There were no objections.

Amendments: The Council were notified of the following:

1/D/10/001543 – Former Scouts Hall. Shipton Lane. Demolish former Scout hall building & erect detached dwelling.

1/D/10/001318 & 1/D/10/001310 – The Rookery, Church Street. Amended scheme (1/D/08/001652 & 1/D/08/001653) for alterations & extensions to the main house and coach house. Re-align existing gate piers & extend existing outbuilding. Amendments include the erection of a chimney on the outhouse, demolition of single storey side projection and alterations to fenestration details of north extension.

1/D/09/001850 – Seasons Watch, Shipton Lane. Approval of amendment to a specific clause relating to building materials.

Tree Reports:

Approval:

CA/10/00294 – Little Orchard. Annings Lane. To fell the outside stems of Sycamore.

Consultation:

CA/10/00355 – The Mill House, Grove Road. To reduce the crown of 1 Weeping Willow by 20%. There were no objections.

CA/10/00390 – 20 Shadrach. To fell 1 Fir Tree and to fell 1 Ecalyptus tree. There were no objections.

6. A.O.B.

• Proposed Revisions to National and Local Validation Checklists for Planning Applications. Details had been received from WDDC regarding a consultation on the above document. Returns to be in to WDDC by 31^st December 2010. It was agreed to circulate the document to all councillors for comments, and to respond with them to the Parish Clerk. Action Councillors & Clerk.
