Minutes of the Planning & Development Committee held on Wednesday 12th October 2011 at 7.00pm in the Reading Room, Burton Bradstock.
Present: Cllrs: D.Venn, K.Delves, D.Batten, D.Dixon, G.Moody, F.Moore (Clerk).
1. Apologies: There were no apologies.
2. Declarations of Interest: Cllr Dixon expressed an interest in Tree Report CA/11/00315.
3. Minutes of the previous Meeting 6th June
2011 & Matters Arising.
The minutes of the previous meeting were approved and signed as a true record by the Chairman.
4. Democratic Half Hour: There were no members of the public present.
5. Planning:
Approval:
1/D/11/001241 – 28 Shadrach. First floor extension. Internal & External alterations.
1/D/11/001132 – 1 – 4 North Hill Close. Replace wooden windows & doors with UPvc.
Consultation:
1/D/11/001488 – 101 Southover. Demolish existing extensions & construct new extension. Install conservation rooflights. Excavate to enlarge rear yard. The Parish Council notes the comments made by WDDC Planning Authority in respect of the refusal for a previous application. It appears that the issues of mass, scale, bulk and dominance have been insufficiently addressed in this application. It will cause problems for adjoining properties. The Parish Council objects to the application.
1/D/11/001469 – St Brides, Coast Road. Refurbishment and small extension to an existing property, further to approved planning application 1/D/11/000539. There were no objections.
Tree Reports:
Approval:
TP/11/00248 – The Rectory. Church Street. 1 Sycamore to fell, 1 Beech to fell.
CA/11/00266 – Shadrach Dairy Farm. 1 Ash remove deadwood and reshape tree as necessary. 1 Sycamore recoppice.
CA/11/00334 – Bus Shelter. High Street. 1 Cherry, 1 Horse Chestnut & 1 Apple crown lift by up to 3m, prune to clear bus shelter, ivy band at base.
Consultation:
CA/11/00299 – Darby House. Silver Birch – remove all deadwood and reshape as necessary. Willow group – repollard back to previous pollard points. Contorted Willow – fell. Copper Plum – reduce canopy by 30%. Copper Plum – reduce canopy by 20%. There were no objections.
CA/11/00315 – 1 Mill Terrace. 1 Sycamore – reduce the height of the tree by half by reducing the main leaders. 1 Sycamore – reduce the height of the tree by one third and reduce the width of the tree proportionately; light crown thin.
There were no objections.
CA/11/00320 – Little Orchard, Annings Lane. 1 Willow tree – repollard to previous pruning points. 1 Laburnum – reduce top by 1m, sides by up to 2m, remove one lower branch to lift canopy.
There were no objections.
